So I find out this morning that I’ve been using a new deodorant and never removed the plastic top. It took me, not one or two – but THREE days to discover this! #DumbThingsIDo
A Major Personal Goal
I am posting to celebrate a new weight goal. I wish I could tell you I donated my weight to a needy friend, but it’s GONE! Robin and I started working on this goal on Oct 1st, 2011 and now Feb 20, 2012 I am down 40 lbs. Here’s a before & after. The before was taken last August and the after was taken today.

Video Montage of Janae’s Birthday Party
Janae’s sweet sixteen
It had to happen sooner or later. Our little girl is turning 16! Robin and our close friends, Darren & Debbie, put together a party full of great food, friends and ROCK BAND. Janae’s favorite food right now is Chipotle. She what baby wants, baby gets. We just figured we would have the food catered from Chipotle right? Sure. But Chipotle doesn’t cater 🙁 Robin talked to our local Chipotle manager in Lakewood and she agreed to give us “individual” servings of Chipotle chicken at a great price. The only caveat was to bring our own container. Do you know how embarrassing it is to carry a pot-of-your-own to a quick serve place? Yeah there were stares, but I was on a mission. We also had a taste test of my own special bbq-grilled chicken and Chipotle’s own famous. I don’t know if the taste test was all that precise – but my chicken won!
We had about 35-40 people at the party, mostly students but there were some “old (eh eh) er” folks there too.
There was great music (supplied by a playlist David made just for Janae’s party). Xbox Rock Band playing outside thanks to Darren Williams genius outdoor theatre-in-a-bag. Lots of conversation and laughter. Janae must have had four or five different social groups there: school, church, another church, vanguard, and parent’s friends.
